Are there Golf Bags on the market that meet the airline restrictions for size?
I'm flying to the Dominican Republic in September and I take my Golf Clubs with me. The airline I am flying permits baggage with dimensions up to 62 "(which is the highest length, the wider equal to a maximum of 62 "), if there is an additional fee of $ 100 plus the size of luggage. Does anyone know of a Golf Travel Bag, preferably one that can act as an independent Golf Bag, which meets this 62 "requirement? appreciate your response of Shadows." Has anyone had any experience with Continental Airlines? I I call them tomorrow, but you never know how the responses obtained via the phone is going to differ from what information they receive from the assistant on the counter.
Most airlines do not include golf bags in the requirement of 62 inches. You can usually check a bag size standard of golf as if it were a suitcase that meets the 62 inch rule. However, you must have a lid. It should also be aware that companies carriers would not assume responsibility for clubs bent, so that a difficult case, not a bad idea. Call your airline or check their website. Politics baggage allowance for golf bags is usually in "special items" or "sports equipment". You can not have a problem unless your bag and clubs are unusually heavy.
