Can I exchange a voltage regulator of a Golf Cart to one of a car and if so, which car is better?
the golf cart has a motor two-stroke that puts 12 volts. the ez to do is go and need to know Can I use a controller like a Volkswagen or similar for a replacement. I'm trying to help a neighbor mine who had a stroke recently and cannot afford to replace OEM. This is their only means of getting to the store or anywhere. And do not want to replace mess that is something on the line. any help would be appreciated.
There are different types of regulators, is for a generator or alternator, if my memory serves me EZ Go uses a generator that functions as a starter, at least the old do, if you have a 12 volt reg 3 or 4 pole and cables are marked so you know what are, BATTERY, field, field, excite no reason not to work, the reg old style is not rocket science, and if it is a gene that you know you have to polarize this right?
