Golf Cart Motors Electric
Help with my electric Golf Cart!?

I've had this Electric Golf Cart for 4 years. This spring I went to camp out of my ship. The batteries are loaded down as expected. Even when the low load, always move each spring. This time we had to push it. I plugged in a few days and when had turned up fully charged. I thought great! I went to move it, but still did not move. The engine seems fine and it sounds like your job, but the wheels of carriage does not move. All it does is shake as if he wanted to move. Any suggestions on where to find the problem would be great. Since I live in a rural area, I have to fix it myself. Thanks! The parking brake was not in the winter. It was in neutral position with wooden blocks behind the wheels.

check your hook solenoid a voltmeter across the main negative on the battery bank to power the terminal on the solenoid (coming from the positive side of battery bank) and read 36 volts (assuming it's a 36-volt system). Now, connect the power terminal on the other side of the solenoid and it should say "zero." If read 36 volts – Trouble – bad solenoid. If it reads "zero", slightly press the accelerator and the solenoid must act and the voltmeter should read 36 V – solenoid is good. If the solenoid is bad, get a new solenoid
