All electric cars?
I live within 2 miles of work. The route taken has a maximum speed limit of 35MPH, but spend much time sitting and waiting. I am interested in buying a small electric car of all (perhaps more than a Golf Cart) for travel to and from work. Obviously, legal way and should be able to travel in the normal course conditions (rain, winds reasonable …) The big Gotch-ya is that the rest area should be completely closed and with heating / air conditioning. Does anyone know where I could buy one of these vehicles?
Your best option is probably the ZAP Xebra, which can go up to 40 miles per hour. Most electric vehicles available today have a top speed limited to 25 mph (neighborhood EVs [Nevs]). The Xebra meets all the criteria however, and can be ordered online (see second link below). ZAP also has many dealers across the country. Another option Triac is green vegetables, which is a highway speed EV, but a little more expensive, and take some time to get a hold of the list (the reserve is currently spent around late October). Again, you can book online, but currently has only green car dealerships in California. See the following links for more information.
