Why are Titleist GranZ Golf Balls so expensive in Japan?
I looked them up and they are like $80 for a dozen. I saw them at GolfSmith and they had them for $17.99 a dozen for logo overruns. They are supposed to be like the NXT so I bought some because they are $10 cheaper than the NXT tour.
Anybody tried them?
I can’t say about the economics of the GranZ in Japan vs the Golfsmith overruns, I’ve wondered about that myself.
The GranZ is COMPLETELY different from the DT Solo. The Solo is a 2 piece ball and the GranZ is a 3 piece ball, very similar to the NXT Tour (as you stated). Just 2 weeks ago (or so) Titleist had a GranZ product page on their US (.com) site, but it has been removed. You can read more about it on Titleist’s Japanese web site, if your Japanese language skills are good enough.
