Have a question about what the ruling would be on this in a golf tournament?
You are placing on the eighteenth of Augusta for the championship, while bowing down at the shooting line up, the ball goes out of his fingers, rolls off the front leg, goes beyond his marker and into the hole. Do not enter, but you just see the line and any breaks that may be hidden there. Is there any penalty for this, and if not, what would to mark your bowling ball and how they were going to see the line every time. O'Doyle rules!
This is a very interesting question. It has never happened that I know, but in ultimately comes down to a matter of discretion of the judge rules. If your opponent was going to ask for a ruling on this would be the convening of the court rules for your group. Then could determine that: A) is intended to get a read on the line and disqualify you from the tournament or B) they are accidental and would not sanction
