Im huge blood clots in the Mirena IUD?

I just went to the Mirena IUD a few days ago. I had some light spotting but now im getting Golf Ball Size blood clots coming out and hurt themselves when the exit. Is this normal or should I see a doctor. Please help me with this problem.

It is probably quite normal to be honest try not to worry. The Mirena IUS delivers its hormone directly to the womb lining so its obligation to have an effect on the first day. Take paracetamol if you are in discomfort. If you are concerned then contact the doctor that fit. They should have given a leaflet explaining what could happen. It may take weeks / months for the bleeding to settle but eventually you should find your periods become very light and even stop it altogether. Mine did for almost two years.
