Golf Ball Launcher help?
We must construct a golf ball launcher for physics and need to shoot a golf ball on a target 50 meters away. We were only given a week to build and test this, so I need help figuring out the idea that doesn't much time to build, but still being effective. Our guidelines are only that couldnt use of electricity or compressed air unless the pump ourselves. Please help. Our group has no idea to shoot 50 meters with an accuracy to that number. In addition, we have little time to complete. I really need help and I appreciate. Our main idea was a kind springs of things, but we were not exactly sure how to maintain ongoing golf ball during launch. Any ideas on this?
I like the idea cross arc. Combine this with a pin ball style plunger in a tube. The tube diameter would be the raw (a little larger than a golf ball with a plunger (piston) inside which is connected to the chain of arc crossed by a stem. The tube is mounted in the population resting ahead of where the bowstring.
