Can i fit electric doors to my manual car? (windows & mirrors)?

What i mean is that i’ve got a Golf mk3 with manual windows and mirrors but i want to fit it with new doors that i have seen on ebay which have electric mirrors and windows? is it just a straight swop or is it tricky, please help. sources and more info would be greatley appreciated.

you’ll either have to just wire the electrics on the door into your loom on the dashboard (if the window and mirror switches are already on the door)

or you’ll have to install switches into the dash or centre column (they’ll be a specific place for them somewhere – a haynes manual will tell you) and wire into the loom

If you can handle fitting the doors and you can read a basic wiring diagram it won’t be a problem. If you’re not much cop with electrics then it may be a bit tricky.

If you’ve got something like a haynes manual and you can wire in a stereo you should be able to do it no probs! The hardest part is finding the connection point in the loom behind the dash
