change 6 8volt battery supply to 4 12volt in Club Car Golf Cart?
Total system is 48 volts—-6 8volt batteries hooked up in series
yes it will work as far as voltage .
Acceleration probably won,t change much due to saving weight and battery sag .
But runtime will go down a good bit .
To give you an example of how much here are some specs on some batteries with a 25 amp load
U18d-vhd 8 volt Golf Cart Battery 318 minutes
srm24 12 volt deepcycle 138 minutes
srm29 12volt deep cycle 204 minutes
think about it like this if it would run for a little over 5 hours on the stock 8 volt batteries then it would only run for a little over 2 on group 24 deep cycle or a little over 3.5 on group29
